rushing that this defense has given up to two piss poor teams.  No one can be happy with the way this D has performed so far.  We should be dominating their line and I'm sorry, but we're not.  Time for this line to live up to all the hype it was given during the offseason.  And where are the LBs plugging up the holes?  They're easily being blocked out of the picture by sub-par talent.  Time to step up guys.

one of the biggest problems i saw at WKU was overruning the play.  Selvie and the DEs got into the backfield so quick that the QB just picked up the ball and ran up the middle.

speed on the edge does us no good if our DEs end up behind the play, chasing the QB down from behind after a big gain.

And we have given up 118 yards passing in two games.  I guess our secondary must be full of all-americans?  Doubt it.  Wofford was an option team that was held to 3.4 ypc.  WKU did not maul our guys to get the yards.

The run D is a a problem, but a correctable one.  Our DTs have been getting upfield too quickly and allowing running lanes to be open.  It can be corrected.  Will it be?  Who knows, young kids get all excited chasing the ball rather than play their assignment.

What has happened so far is not the OLines moving our guys down field or out of the way.  We have been our own worst enemy by taking ourselves out of the play.
