If they bring in UCF...kiss this conference goodbye. Memphis is a good fit.

Neither is a good fit at this moment. The article is joke, so it made my day. It has only been a month and a half since Marinatto said no C-USA was worthy of an invitation. There is no way he changed his tune and the Presidents of the league will not vote yes for any schools mentioned.

Houston is a heck of a team this year and a HUGE tv market...  If the BE was to add teams from the north, how would they determine who belongs in what division?  

BE North:

UCONN, 'Cuse, Rutgers, Pitt, Cincy

BE South:

USF, The 'Ville, WVU, Pick 2 (Houston, ECU, Memphis, Navy, USM, U of Crappy Football)

I can see Memphis in the Big East with its Basketball program. And I can see UCF in the Sun Belt.

Let's see, they lost the coach who rebuilt them and all the recruits he was bringing in. The downward spiral is beginning for their basketball program. The vacated wins have nothing to do with the state of their basketball program right now.

So we might be able to compete with them is what you are saying. Memphis has a men's basketball culture we can only wish we had here at USF. They have been through this before in the 80s. They came back. They will be back.

I have read another insider claim on a different message board that Memphis is joining the SEC.  Don't believe a darn thing, heck, the next rumour will be Memphis is joining the Big 12.  ::)
