The war ended in '45 and we shipped back to the states later that fall. So, I'd have to say, hmmmm....fall of '97 it was. Just me, and 40,000 close personal friends. Played some team all decked out in purple, as I recall. 'course, back then, we didn't have all this high-falootin' padded seat and cupholder business. We had aluminum rails...cold rails...rails that would bore through your butt cheeks and damage you spine...and we were dad-gum thankful to have those!
