agreed.  if we start out strong and beat FSU, go 4-0, get ranked in the top 20 and then go on to lose 3 straight again....we will NEVER live down the 'mid season collapse' tag.

He's probably still bitter that he bought into the whole #2 ranking and all that went with it.  Those that truly follow the program know that was an undeserved ranking.

The fact is we start strong, get a few injuries, piss away the middle of the season and finish pretty well.

I know that comes with recruiting and experience, but it cannot happen again this year.

The BULLS absolutely have got to show improvement over the course of the season.

what does Fennelly or #2 ranking have to do with the fact that we have to stop going on 3 game losing streaks in the middle of the season. 

this isn't baseball.  a 3 game losing streak in college football = tough season

If you read his article you'd see he is placing emphasis on the #2 and #10 ranking as well as beating non-cons.

The reason some teams struggle or "collapse" midseason is it is conference play.

Much like Bulls Basketball, it seems we suddenly collapse every January/February.
