Twitter and number of followers

Being relatively new to Twitter I find it drenched with spam and bad intentions and false feelings of self. 

First of all it has grown quickly, but a very high % of Twitterers don't return after a month.

I also find it funny that those that count their followers also include in their totals the spammers and bots, hookers and hoodwinkers.

It could be a great tool, however, it needs some refinement.

I had X number of followers when I logged in; many of them I didn't know, but they looked like hookers/miscreants.  So I checked the followers of some "personalities" they were beseiged by the same phonies.

Twitter is trying to keep up with them.  Some of the users get deleted.  Good to see.

Yes, you can delete them.  Point is, like spam, you just keep getting them.

It reminds me of a few months ago when our membership here soared.  Turns out the spam bots found us.  Now we have to approve every registration manually to keep out the spam.

twiter is awful.  i blame the celebs cause it feeds their ego.

but seriously...it doesnt serve any different purpose than facebook does.

facebook being much more user friendly and more indepth.
