He plays RB but could switch to DB in college. He lists USF among his favorites. He is a very good student and wants to also run track. http://www.cape-coral-daily-breeze.com/page/content.detail/id/505910.html?nav=5015When combined with natural ability and a closer's mentality, the quietly confident Byrd has the potential to win the 100 and 200 at state, Butler said."If he can get out strong, I think he can double," Butler said of the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Byrd, who said he has been offered football scholarships by Florida International, Indiana and Iowa State to play running back and cornerback.http://www.news-press.com/article/20090508/HSS01/905080421/1011/sports01

There is a LIVE VIDEO ALREADY at the 3-A State meet. Kamran Joyer wil be competing in the Discus very shortly. He isn't expected to medal in that event., but is projected to win the Shot Put at 3 PM.If the video doesn't play then hit the stop button and then hit play. There is also a blog there to read and post.http://fl.milesplit.us/meets/44884/live
