Apis Bull Posted October 26, 2004 Group: Member Topic Count: 1,586 Content Count: 23,185 Reputation: 2,332 Days Won: 65 Joined: 09/05/2002 Share Posted October 26, 2004 That is right, I forgot...If somehow/someway UL is high enough they will not take the Liberty Bowl bid and take a BCS spot.  BUT, alot would have to happen...like every major conference team will have to lose 3 games for a BSC bowl take a 1 loss mid-major.If a non-BCS team is ranked 6th or higher in the BCS ranking, they get an automatic bid. They would be a top5 team with championship game consideration (although they wouldn't get it unless 3 other teams choked down the stretch). Here are some games that may help their cause:#9 Georgia v. #4 Auburn#10 Texas v. #14 Texas A&M#10 Texas v. #19 Oklahoma State#14 Texas A&M v. #2 Oklahoma#1 Arizona State v. #8 Cal#16 Virginia v. #3 Miami#16 Virginia v. #22 Virginia TechThey probably won't make it to 6th, but they might get to tenth.
