I don't remember him and don't know if it was already mentioned on this board but he signed with FSU in 2008 but never enrolled.  He is a 6'4", 290 lbs D-Lineman.

For the star gazers he was 3 star on rivals and scout.  He will be eilgible to play next season.

Well Leslie Stirrups is listed as a DT but at 6-3 280 he could play DE

Anthony Hill is a DT recruit from the Panhandle.  He signed with FSU last year, never enrolled and signed with us now.  He had the grades to get in but FSU strung him out, first as a greyshirt and ultimately to not enrolling.  Hill was a 3-star DT, and former teammate of Terrel McClain.

Do not confuse him (the merged thread is confusing) with recent verbal commitment Luke Sager who is also a D-lineman from the panhandle.  Sager is a 3-star on Rivals (2 on Scout) DE who will probably end up inside at DT at some point in his career.

I think Stirrups has too much power to not be used inside...he also has room to grow...plus i think at that size he doesnt have the "desirable" speed USF wants at the DE position

Thanks guys for clearing that up.  When you get old like me you worry sometimes that the train left and you missed it.    Thanks again.

This what ESPN scout wrote about Leslie Stirrups  a few years back.    "Stirrups is a high motor defensive tackle that is capable of making a tackle anywhere on the field. Watching him, you love the hustle and effort he can put into a play. It can be very deflating for an offense when a defensive tackle is in on tackles near the sideline and is chasing plays down from behind. When he fires off the ball low and shoots his hands he can man handle blockers and drive them into the backfield. He has good change of direction skills and can come across and get flat. He has enough athletic ability to be a one gap player, but his style is more of a two gapper. He at times can get high and play chest to chest with blockers. When you see what he is capable of, you can get frustrated at times when he doesn't do it on a more consistent basis. He has the ability to cause havoc on every play but at times gets caught in one on one battle's at the line of scrimmage. He is a solid wrap up tackler that takes good pursuit angles. He is a dangerous pass rusher that can collapse the pocket and beat a lineman off the line with a move. He has adequate size to play in the trenches. Stirrups is an interesting player because he can really be a force from the interior of line, but needs to do that on an every down basis."  I think he will be lined up at DT. If only we had him a few years lined up next to Selvie.
