if lane were to come in here, he'd be an OC.  that being said, he doesnt come here.

jim leavitt will never be dethroned.  our admin totally jumped the gun and gave him extension after extension and we're stuck with him.  we're locked into paying him like the texas rangers are locked into paying part of A-Rod's contract.  the only thing i could think of is to demote leavitt to DC, and hire kiffin as HC/OC.  but that would still involve paying leavitt his gigantic contract.
