Hopefully, this season will point out something for next year.  It is possible, with the talent we have, to have a losing season.  As far as the coaches are concerned, get the players ready because there are many others out there who can do the job.  I understand being loyal, but only if the W's keep coming in.

Army 42, South Florida 35

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Carlton Jones ran for 225 yards and five touchdowns and Army rallied to beat South Florida 42-35 Saturday night for its first winning streak in seven years.

Army (2-4, 2-3 Conference USA) snapped a school-record 19-game losing streak with a 48-29 win over Cincinnati on Oct. 9. The Black Knights last won consecutive games in 1997, when they beat Rutgers and Colgate.

Army also snapped a nine-game road losing streak and ended a 12-game losing streak in night road games that dated to a 41-14 victory at Kansas State in 1987.

Army's Zac Dahman finished was 16-for-27 for 202 yards and one touchdown.

South Florida quarterback Pat Julmiste scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter to give the Bulls a 21-7 lead. He completed 10 of 23 passes for 116 yards and rushed for 90 yards on 20 carries.

Jones scored on a 59-yard run and Army closed within 21-14. After Julmiste scored on a 19-yard run, Jones ran 74 yards for another score and Army trailed 28-20. Austin Miller had his extra-point attempt blocked.

Army tied the game at 28-all with 12:21 left in the fourth quarter when Jones scored on a 6-yard run and added the two-point conversion.

Jones gave Army a 35-28 lead on a 13-yard scoring run and added the eventual winning TD from 1 yard with 2:24 left, giving Army a 42-28 lead.

Joe Bain caught a 43-yard scoring pass from Julmiste to pull South Florida within 42-35 with just over a minute left. Army recovered the ensuing onside kick and ran out the clock.

Andre Hall had 200 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns for South Florida (2-3, 1-2)

South Florida capitalized on an Army turnover when Hall scored on an 18-yard run with 11:31 left in the first for a 7-0 lead. The South Florida drive started at the Black Knights' 36 after Craig Kobel forced and recovered Dahman's fumble.

On its next possession, Army went 64 yards on 13 plays to tie it at 7-all with 6:28 left in the opening quarter. Dahman's 4-yard TD pass to Aaron Alexander completed a 5-minute drive.

Hall capped a 10-play, 93-yard drive with a 21-yard touchdown run, giving South Florida a 14-7 lead with 2:30 left in the first half. He gained 157 yards on 12 carries in the first half.

Still it's Army we should be able to over come your team on just athletic skill alone, but I guess we're just that bad this season.

not if you do not execute and adjust!

As usual the holier than thou Mike G is ranting and calling anybody who disagrees with him stupid or unknowledgable.  Your entitled to your opinion but to call someone a dumbass because they don't see it your way says something about you in my opinion.  If you dont want to read a bunch of posts that are critical of a team that insists on shooting itself in the foot then why don't you leave.  One of the best things about this board is that it actually encourages diversity of opinion.  Something you seem to have a hard time with.  If somebody says something that you don't agree with it doesn't make them a dumbass, it just means they see the world differently than you do.

Losing to Army, to me, is embarassing, they have come a long way sure, but we still should have moped the floor with them.  It was in our stadium during our homecoming!  You want to write it off as they are a good team then fine, but don't insult the intelligence of those who are not content to rest on how far we've come but rather want to see them continue to progress.  In between all the "They were a good team"  and "That teams has come a long way"  Or "they have a good coach"  you people who insist on making excuses might see that this is a football team that has taken steps back.  We are losing games that two years ago we would have won.  The compeititon has increased but two year ago we Beat Southern Miss, We beat ARmy last year, we almost lost toECU last year but destroyed them the year before that.  I don't watn to hear how the comepition has imporved because in many cases its the same teams we've played beofore and beaten.  If the compeition has improved why havent we?

Just my opinion, feel free to disagree
