Not to sound TOO pathetic.... but I have been avoiding newspapers, ESPN, talk radio, since last Thursday. Finally decided to come back to the 'pen yesterday.

When does it stop hurting?? No game for us this weekend...but last year's 3 game slide turned me into a hermit.  I can't be the only one...maybe we need a support group or a crisis-line??  ;D

lol

NEVER!

Die-hard fans will always remember the painful losses for years to come. 20+ yrs from now we'll be like, "Man, if we would of beat Rutgers in 2007, things would of been so different". Ofcourse, if we have greater success, the pain will be easier to deal with.

If we don't beat Rutgers in 2008, something is seriously wrong...

When you start realizing that it is just a game, and that it is only one game, not the end of the world.

kung fu kicks to the nuts take a while to heal.

i would say it wont until we get a win at Louisville.  A cuse win wont really heal such a hard kung-fu kick to the nizzuts.

A win streak will start to heal your wounds.

This is what I think to cheer myself up.  Last year, West Virginia had pretty much a cupcake schedule.  The best opponent they faced was USF.  They got their ass beat.  They put together a win streak and at the end of the season, they would have gone to the national championship if they hadn't got beat by Pitt.  They still won the Big East.

Just like them last year, we've lost our first conference game.  We can still win it.  (I think 6-1 will win the BE, but 5-2 may not cut it this year).

I just think about that and know that all hope is not lost.  We still have something huge to play for every week.

People still ache about the Ga. Southern loss in '97.  It's part of being a fan.
