Syracuse Orange take home 9th National Championship

The Syracuse Orange defeated the Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays, 13-10, this afternoon to win the school's 9th NCAA Division I lacrosse championship. This win ties them for most championships by a single school with the defeated Blue Jays.

And yes, I know that because of their independent status, they won't be bringing that championship home to the Big East. Hopefully that will change with the upcoming vote!

I'm glad Cuse won it.  I cheer for any Big East school in all sports (except when they're against USF).  I know lax isn't in the BEast, but Cuse is and that's good enough for me.

It sucks for those Duke kids and I'm glad they got an extra season, but I couldn't careless that the fairytale season came to a screeching halt.

I'm always up for watching Dook lose. It amuses me that they've now lost in two championship games and one semi-final, all to Johns Hopkins. And for the kicker--Hopkins' primary color is akin to Carolina Blue.
