Just for kicks, but here's my list for non-BCS teams I'd like to see us play:

- Toledo

- Central Michigan

- UNLV (as stated before, good choice of location)

- Troy

- Navy

PAC-10 would be good.  We should schedule Oregon for a 1-1 game.  That would be interesting, no?

Just like we did with NC State.  I think it would be nice to get this going.

Seriously though...a 1-1 with an SEC team would be ideal.  Maybe Ole Miss/Vandy/MissSt/Bama.

I like the idea of Georgia Tech.  That could be a nice match-up for us.

HOW ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE/VT??? IMHO, we should singlehandedly go around to each ex-BigEast team and BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF 'EM.  Just to show how the league has changed.  We've got Miami in a series right now, lets schedule BC and VT???

GO BULLS!!!

Of course, we could always give Rodriguez a call and ask if he and our former coaches want another shot at us.  ;D

QUOTE FROM MICHIGAN DAILY: Non-conference schedule: Rodriguez doesn't plan to add a major non-conference opponent to the schedule beyond Notre Dame because it's not worth giving up the $5 million-$6 million generated from a home game. He said it's also difficult to find a major opponent interested in a home-and-homes series.

I think they still owe FSU a home game.  As I recall FSU accepted a one-and-done and hung 50 on the Wolverines.  Quite frankly, Michigan is on my list of schools I would accept a one-and-done from.

Arizona State would be hot, but for non-BCS I agree with UNLV or Tulane.

Note: I know that I am biased..........

Georgia Tech

TokenWasp.gif

Good reasons:

1) regional rival (ACC team)

2) Close enough to drive / fly to (relatively cheap airline tickets)

3) Atlanta recruiting

4) Atlanta = fun weekend

5) Natl exposure BE v ACC

JMHO

6) GT sucks

7) Former USF AD Paul Griffin is at G Tech...

However, Mama_Bull is right... it will NOT be a BCS team, so quit dreaming about Pac 10 or FSU... the two games left will be non-BCS teams...

It will most likely be some non-BCS team, since we are already playing two OOC BCS teams in each of those years:

2009

Sept. 5  WOFFORD TAMPA

Sept. 19 FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL TAMPA

Sept. 26 MIAMI TAMPA

Oct. 10 at Indiana Bloomington, Ind.

2010

Sept. 4 SAMFORD TAMPA

Sept. 11 at Florida Gainesville

Oct. 2 FLORIDA ATLANTIC TAMPA

Nov. 27  at Miami  Miami, Fla.

To remind people -- the Coach Jim Leavitt scheduling philosophy:

FIVE OOC games as follows:

1 - FCS (formerly I-AA) home game every year

1 - BCS home game every year

1 - BCS away game every year

1 - non-BCS home game every year

1 - non-BCS home or away game every year    [depending on the Big East 4 - 3 schedule.]

It's not going to happen as long as it counts toward a bowl game.

I agree it's lame. We could warm up by kicking the dog snot out of a non-BCS school and adding another BCS school.  It's not going to happen though.

Counter: It's more than likely we'll got to the NC with an undefeated schedule.  Why make it harder?  It's possible we could go with 1 loss, but without the tradition and crap like that it's not likely the voters would put us in.  So, force their hand by being undefeated.
