Leavitt's buyout hasn't changed since the January draft, but is significantly higher than his previous contract. If he wanted to leave this year, he'd have to pay USF $1-million, and the amount drops $100,000 each year until it plateaus at $500,000.

Again, two contracts ago, I think the buyout was $50,000, which seems a bit amazing now.

the last sentence in that article almost makes it sound like we only averaged 22948 before this yr

NICE!  Best part is it was funded by someone other than the University!  Gotta get some more endorsements in here...time to go after Tropicana now with Bobby getting ready to kick the bucket and them being based in Bradenton...(or they used to be when I lived down that way)...

Just saw on ESPN ticker.  Well deserved.

leavitt hasnt one a thing

uconn coach deserves more

schiano will want more money since he owns leavitt

I like that the assistants get more doe, but CJL should not yet be the highest paid BEAST coach.  4-3 does not justify that in my eyes.

I'm all for raises to the coaches and staff if the money is being generated from endorsements.  That's companies basically investing in your infrastructure bc more $$$ in the coaches mean you can keep and go after bigger and better names which in turn helps recruiting which in turn helps the on the field product which in turn leads to more money in bowl appearances, attendance etc. which completes the cycle to allow more money to pump into facilities and then into coaches again and we are on the cycle all over again just like this run on sentence...one big cycle.

What I wouldn't want to see is USF raising fees for these raises right now without that Big East record being better.  That would be wrong in my opinion.  But they didn't, so i"m all for it...

Because clearly our last season was equal to the 2 4-3 seasons before it...come on, man.  Look at how close those games were.

Schiano doesn't own Leavitt, the BE refs do.  Two years and two of the worst officiated games in the history of college football later...
