Stupid move .... dumb move .... Are you guys assuming he knew his license was invalid and continued to drive anyway? Without hearing the details how can one make that judgment call?

(1) Get a lawyer.  (2) Continue the case out 60 days or so.  (3) Repair the underlying problem that created the hold on his license (pay the fines, calendar and dispose of the court cases he failed to appear for).  (4) Come back to court with a valid license and get your dismissal (or a reduction to the traffic charge of driving without your drivers license on your person).

His dismissal or plea to a simple traffic charge will never make the papers.

interesting that so many are saying "no big deal" (and it really isn't a big deal at all imo) when a similar charge against Brian Fisher resulted in numerous posters going nuts about what a bad/stupid person he was. I think some of that has to do with Brian Fisher and the dead beat dad situation that people had serious issues with even though Fisher was doing what he could to remedy that as well.

Yeah, being a dead beat dad will never get you sympathy from the community..........

Driving on a suspended license is not in the same league.

My wife had a suspended license and didn't even know it because of an insurance mix up with the DMV.

It's amazing how people rationalize certain players on this board when it comes to arrests.

Anyways, this is a simple charged traffic misdemeanor. In most cases you go clear up the suspension by your court date and the state charges you with a No Valid Drivers License, which is a lesser misdemeanor and doesn't cause you to be a habitual traffic offender and permenantly lose your license for 5 years.

Whoop te do.
