Liuget would be a steal at this point.  He would make it a great class, but I'm not holding my breath on him.

Yeah i think we are about 70% for OJ as well.  And he will get a look at QB too.  If the staff can coach him up and fix some stuff with his mechanics he could be a very dangerous player at QB.  He's a great athlete and will be productive for us even if he doesn't work out at QB. 

Im a little less confident in Liguet but i think he would be a big steal for us if we can get him away from the Zooker.   

LJ i would say is a coin flip at this time

I just don't see Streeter committing here.

The remaining board is:

Baker

BJ Daniels

Odoms

Streeter

Liuget

Shaw

O. Johnson

L. Johnson

I feel pretty confident about Baker, Daniels and O. Johnson.

I am less confident, but think we get L. Johnson.

Odoms, Liuget and Streeter would be great but no clue as to what they will do.

Shaw is a no go.

If we get Baker, Daniels and the Johnsons that is a pretty strong finish.

I agree and think that will be the most likely finish.  This is easily USF's best class ever IMO.

I really hope we get Thornton even though he's not expected to qualify. From what I understand, USF wants him to take some classes in Tampa like his former teammate Warren did in order to qualify and enroll at USF in January. FSU wants to send him to Hargrave for a year on scholarship there and then come to them next fall. I know his mom loves FSU, so it wil be a tough decision for him, even though he loves USF.

This comment is what scares about OJ.  Indiana has been on him forever and continuously.  Josh Newberg said on the radio show that USF dropped him for a little while.  The fact that Indiana stuck with him and we didn't is a big deal to him.  They also want him as a QB only and we are only offering a chance to compete for QB.  I don't think he is a lock.  I like our chances, but...

My understanding of OJ was that we stopped pursuing as a QB for a period of time, not that we stopped pursuing.  Maybe I misunderstood.

need to get 2 of the 8 to continue making progress.  More than 2 is great.  Less, well, when you swing for the fences, you strike out a lot.
