From Press-Register:

Defensive back George Baker, who committed to Auburn in September, told Rivals.com that he was now considering South Florida and wouldn't make a final decision until National Signing Day.

Hopefully he has been swayed our way.

Closer to home has to be a plus.  Family gets to see him play each home game with a much shorter drive.

Also he likes to run track, so I mentioned that to Carlton Mitchell and since he was able to do both sports at USF, he was going to bring that up when he had a chance to speak with him. I think Miami had offered Baker only a track scholarship.

I knew UM had offered someone visiting USF a track scholarship. LOL

Ill take him, a QB (B.J. Daniels?) and Streeter and/or Odoms at WR.

Wouldn't mind dazed and confused Liuget either

He has officially de-committed from Auburn (whatever that means).  Along with USF and Auburn, he is considering Rutgers and UCF.

My opinion is just that, my opinion, but this is the guy I hope we get the most.  We need the next generation of stud DB's to follow in the footsteps of Henry, Reed, Jenkins and Williams.

Eventually we may get a rep for being a safe bet for cultivating NFL calibre DB's.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
