I was in Bealls yesterday in the Northdale area and they had a huge display of USF stuff that rivaled UF and FSU.  It was the first time I've seen a store donate so much space equal to the other schools.  The selection was actually better than I thought it would be.  It had a ton of different tee shirts.  Everything was 40% off, so I'm guessing there will be a bunch of kids with USF gear this year under the tree.

Bealls has been doing that for years ....

the main point of this thread wasn't that Lowe's needed USF merch to sell...the point was b/c they had a product for the big 3 and UCF

the "Big 3" stuff is understandable.  all 3 of those schools have national titles in recent memory, and long histories of tradition in the state.  it goes without saying that Noles, Hurricane and Gayturd stuff will be on sale.

but there is NO EXCUSE for selling UCF **** and not USF.  there is no category or criteria in which Central Florida University is superior to the University of South Florida.  academically and athletically we are leaps and bounds beyond them. the only thing they have is a slight edge in total enrollment.

It takes time to get the gear in the channels.  This article below explains the growth and some future additions.  By 08' there should be plenty of gear everywhere.

http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20071012/BUSINESS/710120645/1007

"What we are going to see in the fall of 2008 is a dramatic increase for new product, and we see that growth as ongoing as more licensees get on board."

Wal-Mart this fall ordered USF gear to sell in 39 Tampa Bay area outlets, while Dillard's increased local stores selling Bulls merchandise from one to five.

Among new companies producing Bulls' gear are Columbia Sportswear, Impact Sports, Colony Sportswear, Northwest Company and Joe T's.
