  1. Pretty Good Numbers in his first three games: Averaging 15 yards a carry and 3 TD's already this season. 2007 17 256 15.1 76 3 2 20 10.0 19 0 0 0
  2. The next game we sell our ticket allocation will be our first.
  3. Thanks for throwing me a bone. Acquisition process is underway. It would be nice if they could get this information on the website. I don't think we are at the point yet where we have to worry about demand gobbling up the available supply.
  4. Last year at UNC was our first out of conference BCS team win. Auburn beat the national champs at home. I could see why some might question our pedigree.
  5. September 07' could be the biggest month in USF Football history. Auburn and West Virginia we might have the toughest September schedule in the nation.
  6. I am guessing the change was made for one reason that affects many decisions in life.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  7. JoeB way to keep up the tradition. I haven't been to a Gasparilla parade in over 30 years but I did enjoy it. I have been in Atlanta for over half of those years. I always seem to make my plans down to Tampa at the wrong time. If your wondering I am a USF fan via ancestral background.
  8. I vote for FIU to go to the Big Ten. Then we can have an out of conference in state BCS rival. It makes no logical sense but the other schools in the Big Ten would love to take trips down to Miami every year. ;D ;D ;D ;D
  9. I stumbled on this recruiting article about Illinois and Ron Zook and I loved this quote. It is from..." Martez Wilson, who is ranked among the top 10 prospects in the nation by some recruiting services..." ''I like this dude,'' Wilson said while explaining his reasons for choosing Illinois over USC, Notre Dame and Michigan. ''He wasn't an uptight white coach.'' http://www.suntimes.com/sports/preps/209763,CST-SPT-prep14.article I would be curious after signing day what the recruits at USF think about Leavitt. If you are a recruit is he perceived as "an uptight white coach"? I am thinking not.
  10. I would prefer to have the "War Eagles" on September 15th when I walk out of Jordan-Hare respect the green and realize we earned it, and it will be mutual. Even if we beat them, they will have earned my respect with what their program does every year and the amount of passion their fans bring to every game. I think Louisville and WVU getting on the plane heading South next year know they better show respect or else they will get punched in the mouth.
  11. Do we want other teams to hate us or respect us????
  12. If you are currently a student or faculty "we" is definitely applicable. If you are a donor "we" would be applicable because you are an active stockholder. I could break down all of the possible relationship answers to help you win the argument but I think you can formulate some correlation to make yourself part of the team. In summary since I would like you to win this argument "yes", congratulations you won the Papajohns.com bowl because "we" did. Of course keep in mind there is no "I" in team so "we" might have won the bowl game but "the team" did so you didn't. Was there a wager associated with this debate?
  13. I mentioned the BUCS to try to put into perspective for USF fans how quickly the empire (USF Football) has risen and to show that real fan bases do take some time to develop. The BUCS in their first year were in the big time (NFL) they didn't have to work their way up through the ranks and build respectability. They were in the top 25 in their first season. This is not an apples to apples comparison but I some times think fans forget to enjoy the journey and are always looking ahead to the prize at the end of the road that they might never be able to get. There are bunches of college football programs out there that wish they were in the position that USF is. Every time a university starts a new football program they want to be like USF and get to a bowl game in their first 100 games. I have been talking about USF football every time college football comes up in a conversation ever since I saw Blackwell and Leavitt rip Bowling Green and Urban Meyers a new one. Show the rest of the world your passion for USF football and trust me others will follow. Especially when you are at the games bring it and bring it strong. I agree I would love to see more butts in the seats and especially more students at the games. I don't live close enough to Tampa to make more than one home game a year but every time I have been back I have felt the passion building. At the papajohns.com bowl I was getting goose bumps at the end of the game when our fans were going crazy. I am looking forward to more of that...
