He is a former alum and he quit his radio gig. He stated at the time he got the itch to coach again after Rod flirted with Ala and he thought there would be an opening then. If you are on a coaching search the only thing you want is a coach that can beat the rival. And what do they do? Hire a coach that can't beat 4-7 Pitt in the vaunted "Backyard Brawl"look for more of the same against Ohio State.This pairing looks as bad as Michigan and Bill Callahan. Guest Posted December 17, 2007 Share Posted December 17, 2007 Michigan's current slate of players will not fit into the spread option...Does anyone else find it ironic that Michigan brought in a coach who uses the very same system employed by App State and Oregon - the first two bad losses this year?Oh... but a variation of the spread option at Illinois was able to beat Ohio State -- so I can see some of the appeal.
