That's the problem with a playoff system when you have conference champions from "lower" level conferences.  Lots of quality teams (like the Bulls) get left out in the cold, while teams that have no chance get invited. 

How many people really believe that UCF or Troy or Central Michigan would stand a chance?  While there are several non-conference champions that actually could pull upsets.

Call me crazy, but I actually like the bowls.

I like it. He mades a few valid points. Yeah, according to him, we wouldnt be in the playoffs, but as a whole, I like it better then relying on the coaches, harris etc. to equal the bcs standings. Yeah UCF might get creamed at UGA, but thats not such a bad thing lol.

And if we didnt make it...we'd still have the sun bowl, thus no harm no foul....Puts more emphasis on winning the conference and getting more home games...which Im all for.

Yeah, autobids for crappy conferences is dumb.  UCF lost to the Big East 4th 64-12.

would the good teams fight to be in the weak conferences if their champion received a bit automatically?  I guess we could move back to CUSA.

Trying to capture the magic of March Madness and that just isn't going to work in college football. Any new systems will have arguments just like the current one ..... Leave it alone .... or maybe do a Plus 1.
