Fox has the contract for the BCS, which is why the official announcement happens on Fox's OT after the NFL... and why they get the selection show on Sunday Dec 2nd at 8:00pm...

However, most of the teams will know who is going where before then.

and I'm sure the folks at ESPN will have a show airing at 8:01 PM, just like during March Madness.  They don't miss a beat up there in Bristol........
