Excuse me, Rutgers will not finish 3rd in the Big East standing, more like fourth.

It's not the standing, it's the #3 pick.  If WVU goes BCS, and the Sun Bowl takes Uconn, then Meineke could skip Cincinnati and us to take Rutgers.

Actually it could be Toronto if Pizza wants a change from last year.  Remember Cincy played in Toronto last year.  If we win next week and end the season ranked we have a shot at the Sun Bowl just because they might get a couple ranked teams playing.

If we finish 9-3 and Rutgers finishes 7-5 I don't believe they can pick Rutgers over us but I believe they can if Rutgers finishes 8-4. One of the bowl experts will answer that better than I.

Next game at Pitt is pretty huge. I watched Pitt, and I can tell you that they have a lot of young talent that has impressed me. I hope that we bring our "A" game for this one. Also, lets hope for good weather too as it might get very cold. GO BULLS!!!!

You are correct, teams with better overall records have to be selected before teams with lesser wins.  The only time you can choose one over the other is if they have the same record (ex. 2 teams finishing 7-5)

I think the 2 game difference is for conference games not overall.  Meaning a 7-5(3-4) Rutgers could be taken over 9-3(4-3) USF.
