BCS rankings only matter to those teams going to BCS bowls, which we obviously aroun't going toThe higher you finish, the higher you are next season (generally), and the less distance you have to go to get to the top. Much better for the next season's preseason rankings (although not the only factor, of course) to be ranked #25 at the tail end of the season then to be ranked #50. (+3)#26 Florida State and #22 Alabama will drop behind us for sure (-2)... If #17 USC beats #27 California, then Cal will also drop behind USF. (-3)#16 Auburn might drop, but they lost to a Top 10 team so that doesn't usually hurt as much. If Cal wins, USC might drop behind USF. (0 to -2)#12 Michigan and #13 U Conn lost, but probably won't drop below USF.So it looks like +3 spots then anywhere from -2 to -4 spots. USF will be #27 - #29 this week.
