Not to sound sour, but who gives a crap about our BCS ranking?  BCS rankings only matter to those teams going to BCS bowls, which we obviously aroun't going to

The higher you finish, the higher you are next season (generally), and the less distance you have to go to get to the top.  Much better for the next season's preseason rankings (although not the only factor, of course) to be ranked #25 at the tail end of the season then to be ranked #50.

Don't the final Coaches and AP polls have more an effect on preseason rankings than the BCS rankings?

Yes but the BCS rankings reflect the Coaches' and Harris polls closely.  Chicken or the egg.  As a general rule, finish higher start higher.

Cincy will be somewhere between 20-25. We will be right behind them in the rankings

USF was #28.

#29 Wisconsin, #30 Cincinnati, and #31 Illinois were behind us and will move ahead of us... (+3)

#26 Florida State and #22 Alabama will drop behind us for sure (-2)...  If #17 USC beats #27 California, then Cal will also drop behind USF. (-3)

#16 Auburn might drop, but they lost to a Top 10 team so that doesn't usually hurt as much.  If Cal wins, USC might drop behind USF. (0 to -2)

#12 Michigan and #13 U Conn lost, but probably won't drop below USF.

So it looks like +3 spots then anywhere from -2 to -4 spots.  USF will be #27 - #29 this week.

Next week will be a big moving week if USF beats Louisville...
