Reason why, we don't have anybody better.Second, Grothe wasn't that great today. He was OK at best. Sure he had some drops, but he threw some terrible passes today. Did anyone else know he was going to fumble on that play where he was trying to get extra yards? I sure did. I said something to the effect of , You better protect that ball, and no sooner did I say it, the Bearcats were scooping it up. Also, is it too much to ask Mr Heisman to make a tackle after a poorly thrown pick? Talk about Ole. I know he doesn't want to get hurt, but c'mon........get in the guys way until help arrives or God Forbid tackle him!!!I'd like to blame the beer on this next statement, but can anybody serioously argue with me that Grothe is any better this year than last year? 5 weeks ago, I might have made that argument, but now it seems he isn't getting better. Maybe we've seen all Matt has to offer. Not being negative about it, but did any of his throws today scream, "Man this guy is getting better".4 Turnovers were directly attributed to his play. Lets be real about this loss and our hero's performance.

I'd honestly have to say he's still the same as he was last year. He needs to progress more I guess.I still don't like talking about his performance today because he was taken completely out of his element. He was asked to throw the ball 54 times and that isn't how he plays.
