Just wanna note the there is a bunch a football to still be played.  Gator or Sun is not a lock.  USF still could end up 5 or 6 (tied for 5th w/RU)  in the BE with one more loss to Cinci or UL.  This season is not a cake walk the rest of the way.  To finish in the top half of the BE means running the table.  If I was a football prognosticator, I see one more possible loss vs Cinci, UL or @Pitt.

If it comes down to a Gator/Sun choice... yeah, traveling to Jacksonville would be a lot more convenient. But USF would probably have a better opponent in the Sun Bowl. It might even be USC.

I believe the Sun Bowl gets the third Pac 10 team so yeah if Arizona State beats Oregon it could be USC. I would love to see that matchup but I don't know if I could personally attend.

Well, yes and no.  Both Arizona State and Oregon could go to the BCS, depending on how they do in the rest of their games... which could put USC in the Holiday Bowl and a 4-loss Cal team in the Sun Bowl.

In fact, I would almost expect the opponents to be:

Gator = 4th ACC selection (Virginia? Georgia Tech?)

Sun = 4th Pac 10 selection (Cal? UCLA?)

Because it looks like both may get 2 teams in B.C.S. bowls

What other conf goes to the sun bowl, big 10?

Sun = 4th Pac 10 selection (Cal? UCLA?)
