Most sportscasters that have never played sports themselves are elitist A-holes... not all, but most... in my opinion. They poke fun and play sides because that is what they get paid to do, but also because they are insecure morons who were never good enough to actually play the very sports that they cover.

There are some good sportcasters and writers out there who don't have experience in playing sports but understand the games they cover... but honestly... I would love for someone to do a case study of the types of personalities behind sportscasters and writers that never really played sports but decided to cover sports through journalistic means for a living.
