This is a side of USF we've never seen. That might bite them in the long run, but I enjoyed it a lot while it was happening.

they took out Grothe real early, i don't think they're trying to run up anything.

If they can't stop the backup, that's their own fault.  Besides, we need the margin of victory to address all those pundits out there who question how deserving we are of a top 5 ranking.

Well, we have a backup QB that needs playing time and experience.  A lot of these 2nd and 3rd stringers are amped up to play in front of a full house...wouldnt you want to show your best stuff if you didnt play a lot?  I know I would be excited.

with 2nd and 3rd stringers for the most part it's not that big of a deal.  i guess the wr's that were in play a lot, but that is just cause we play deep at wr already.

typically i think when the losing team starts to run the ball to run out the clock so do you. but strictly speaking if its not your starters it's not running up the score. IMO

The play calling kind of made it running up the score. Throwing deep with a 38-point lead in the fourth quarter is not really honorable. But then again, it is UCiF and they had it coming.

Further, the state of college football encourages running up the score... we more than anyone have to show "convincing" wins to get any love.
