USF Colby Posted September 27, 2007 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 695 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 08/16/2007 Share Posted September 27, 2007 He is the home run king, whether tainted or not. Plenty of baseball players have used steroids over the course of his career including Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa yet Barry Bonds was the best out of all of them. Even before he started cheating he was among them, he was putting up great numbers every year was a 5 tool player but became jealous of the publicity McGwire and Sosa got due to their home runs so he cheated too so he could hit more home runs than them and he ended up hitting more than anybody ever in the process.Would he have been the home run king without cheating? No, but he technically didn't cheat because steroids weren't illegal in baseball at the time. With that said though, I am no Barry Bonds supporter by any means. In fact i'd say he is the biggest ******* in sports, and the biggest racist in sports.

Dudes the homerun king no matter how "tainted" it is. He just represents an era (late 80's to the early 2000's) where baseball (players, owners, everyone associated with the sport) got greedy and looked the other way while crazy HR numbers were making the league and its players. Dudes taking pretty much all the hate for everyone during this era.

A-Rod will dethrone him... hopefully A-Rod will leave NY so I can acknowledge his talent level and cheer at the same time. The Nationals could use a good clean up hitter.
