Bulls Encourage Involvement In Soccer

TAMPA, Fla. – On Thursday afternoon, the University of South Florida soccer teams hit the campus in front of the Marshall Center with schedule posters, fliers and pizza to promote the 2007 seasons.

The Bulls encouraged students to participate in the newly-formed Bull Busters, the group of rowdy students who sit behind the goals during games.

The soccer student-athletes also passed out team posters and held autograph sessions on campus during lunch hour, publicizing the upcoming games at the USF Soccer Stadium.

Membership in the Bull Busters includes reserved seating behind the goals, chances to win cash at halftime of all home games, a free T-shirt, free food, involvement with USF coaches and players and free admission to the games. To sign up for Bull Busters, contact Neal McDaniel at 813-974-9869 or by e-mail at NMcDaniel@admin.usf.edu.

This weekend the men’s squad will host American University (Washington, D.C.) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the USF Soccer Stadium. The Bulls have picked up national rankings in all four major polls.  The team is 16th in this week’s College Soccer News poll, 18th in the Soccer Times publication, 22nd according to Soccer America and tied for 24th in the NSCAA/adidas poll. Prior to Saturday’s game, the USF U-40 alumni team will play the Florida Suncoast Soccer All-Stars at 4:30 followed by the Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. the over-40 USF alumni at 5:30 p.m.

The women’s soccer team, under the direction of first-year head coach Denise Schilte-Brown, opens the home season Sept. 28 when the Bulls face off against the No. 23 Connecticut Huskies at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for home games are $5 for adults, $3 for youth 16-and-under and $2 for groups of 10 or more and are available on www.GoUSFBulls.com or by calling 1-800-GoBulls.

Prime seats in soccer... gotta let the goalie hear you making fun of him!!!

Sounds great way to get more students involved in non-revenue sports.

Get the smoke bombs, confetti, and streamers ready!!!

Go Bulls!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
