I think this guy jinxed it all.  Everything he mentioned ended up happening.  I wonder what's going through his mind now that USF is in a BCS conference, has played UCF twice and beat them, and has signed an annual series with a top team.

Here's some fun with math: How many home games are on that long in-state game thread for each school? By the way, it doesn't include the annual FSU-Miami game since it's an in-conference game. I added those in through 2015 and added one home game each for the FSU-Florida series.

UF: 9

UM: 9

FSU: 8 (all against UF and UM - will probably go up when Bowden leaves)

USF: 6

UCiF: 2

FIU: 1

FAU: 0

The conclusion seems to be that the Big 3 see the UCiF, FIU, and FAU as cannon fodder, and that USF is moving its way closer to the Big 3 side.

FIU and FAU play each other every year as conference mates so they will have many more home dates than what you listed too.  Just a reminder, not that it is a big deal.  Of course Howie said when the FAU program started that it would be in the SEC by now.  That must be the same SEC that UCiF is waiting to join.

Good point. Tell you what, let's be fair and limit this to OOC home games, because that requires the ADs to sack up and willfully schedule in-state schools.

UF: 9 (they play everyone but UCiF, and they met in '06)

FSU: 4 (all against UF, would probably go up post-Bowden)

By the way, if USF and UCiF kept playing past next year, it wouldn't narrow the gap between them. In fact it might even get wider if USF decides they want a 2-1.
