Well according to Greg's blog posting, Stan Heath is lighting up cigars with $100 bills.

Small quote from the posting

McCullum's contract initially paid a base salary of $200,000, with a TV/radio bonus of $50,000. Heath's contract, signed Sunday and released to the Times on Tuesday, carries a base salary of $325,000, with a TV/radio payment of $350,000 (hey, that weekly show better be improved) for a total compensation of $675,000 before incentives.

Heath is also looking out for his assistants -- with strong indications Tuesday that at least two of his Arkansas assistants, Dan Hipsher and Oronde Taliaferro, would like to join him in Tampa. The salary pool for McCullum's assistants was $210,000; under Heath's contract, he'll have $375,000 for three assistants and a director of basketball operations.

Can I say [smiley=furious3.gif] to all of you who believed that USF could not rub two nickels together and that USF only had lint in their pockets.

That's what I'm saying!

A lot did not bullieve.

And don't forget that we're also paying Mac.

We’re paying what we should for our level and we can finally see how the money from the BCS is helping our athletic program.

The money is coming from the USF Foundation, so it was never a question of whether USF didn't have the money, but rather if USF wanted to invest into the program.

So that's were the parking pass money is going. I'll take 3 next year!

USF is growing by leaps and bounds...Another parking garage, amazing ROTC buliding, The new Marshall Center.

I sure am glad I got here when I could.

PS. my friend from Seattle is in town this week. He's a Western Washington Graduate but now he's sporting a new USF sweatshirt.

I love the sounds of this whole program change.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
