Anthony Grant will get a big contract from a big school (South Carolina).

As for hot coaches, I think most work out. Look at what Bruce Pearl has done at Tennessee, Billy Gillispie at Texas A&M. There have been guys who haven't been great, Stan Heath at Arkansas has had moderate success, making the tourny a couple times, but nothing great.  

Not saying USF should just run with cash to the 1st hot coach out of this year's tourny, but they definitly deserve a look if the job were to come available.

[highlight]Unfortunately MAB, in today's T Trib, Grant mentioned that he wasn't going to take just any job[/highlight]..... he wanted something that would set him up for success, thus the VCU job.  I doubt he would consider the train wreck that is our beloved USF Bulls. He wouldn't be set up for success, just an opportunity with a huge upside. I mean if you can win at the toughest job in America (according to Dickie V) then you can win anywhere. Right!

Also the article mentioned 2 more assistants that might make the jump into head coaching jobs. Larry Shyatt (former Wyoming and CLemson HC) and Donnie Jones, long time assistant for Eddie Munster. And they both said the same thing, if the right set up comes along.

I just don't see Grant leaving after one year like that. I don't think he'd do that that VCU... especially for a situation like we have currently down here. Maybe in a couple of years...

Grant also has pulled in a KILLER class (for the CAA), pulling in 2 of the top 10 players in Florida and another who is all state. I think he'll stay another year or two now.

I'm kinda liking the grant idea as well, still want to see how they do in the tournie though.
