Those schools have a lot more in the way of talent base, funding, and facilities. Why the HELL would he leave to make a similar salary here.

Joe Posted March 5, 2007 Group: Member Topic Count: 197 Content Count: 10,251 Reputation: 270 Days Won: 14 Joined: 08/16/2005 Posted March 5, 2007 Like I said he ignored offers from NC State and Arizona State, both have more money invested into their porgram, and in the case of NC State a much better facilities.He's got it at GMU, life tenure, a great recruiting base (Washington, DC), and GMU's basketball facilities are under a $10M+ upgrade.Just to add, how many Final 4's have USF been to compared to George Mason? (They've played very similar lengths of time)I think people need to understand that we probably aren't going to bring in a huge name or the hottest coach out there because we don't have the money to invest in the program that others do.
