As soon as you can identify the following, you have a good point:

An influential USF booster told SI.com this week that supporters of the program have had numerous conversations in recent days with Huggins' Cincinnati-based attorney, Richard Katz, who indicated Huggins would be interested in the Bulls coaching job if it opened up.

[highlight]Problem with the whole rumor was there was never an "influential booster" identified (at least to the parties I have spoken to at USF).  When someone can identify this "booster" we'll be well on our way to exposing this myth completely.[/highlight]

Wonder why the boosters wouldn't give Andy or Brett a name...why not come out in the open if you are truly putting money where mouth is?  Why just float the rumor?  One guess.

The more he posts over here the more I'm thinking the influential booster may be K_L himself. NOBODY has a more extensive knowledge of things USF, except when it comes to attendance... just not sure what his motives would be, though.   :-/
