to get even cornier...how about the 3 Musketeers.

Seems like he played running back in high school.

Considering the articles I've read, there is some speculation that he may not receive a waiver. The whole argument against him revolves around the fact that he has transferred once and if he really wanted to be with his mom, he would of transferred from MSU to USF in the first place. But of course we have to consider the source....ISU coach Chiznik sounded a tad bitter about the guy leaving. I hope he gets this waiver.

Well its not like he received a waiver to go from MSU to ISU.  That transfer probably had nothing to do with being close to his mom.  He was probably a lost kid that didn't know what the problem was.  Now he knows where he needs to be.  ???  who knows.  Hopefully he gets the waiver.  Instant upgrade to the LB group.

Sounds great... but probably the biggest stretch to the M idea of the bunch.  Good thinking though.

I think you will see Spires in the starting three.  Just a feeling but I have heard way to many good things about him that starting is a good probability.  Dam, we are deep at LB.

Consider this, Spires only played one year of JC football, led the nation in tackles with 116, and was a national leader in TFL.  He came on out of the blue which affected his ranking somewhat.  I saw him in HS, tall, rangy, with tons of speed.

Does anyone know what the waiver would be based on?? Is there a sickness in the family? Would be interested to know if the waiver even has a chance of being granted.
