Oh he scored the last shot?  Must make him a prolific scorer.

He is like a poor mans Andre Miller.  Smooth and controlled game but cant really penetrate and create for himself or anyone else.  he has that one 10 assist game which keeps his stats up, but by the end he may average more turnovers than assists.  I agree with ari, we really have no quick first step guards, hopefully holmes is going to be our guy, if he stays out of trouble.

We'll see, he reminds me more of a guy that hasn't played in two years.

Yea i agree, you can see he is a good ball player, but something is up.  Either he is cared to play on his knee, maybe nervous, maybe rusty.  But I hear he is a real gym rat and practices harder than anyone on the team, you gotta love that in a player.

Mac should get all of the credit for the great second-half comeback, but in no way should he be responsible for the first 20 minutes or the last 2.

Its not his fault the players do not execute or give the same effort for the entire 40 minutes, or that the level of play is this low on the road.

I think Mac is great...another notch in the moral victory column...yeah!!!

you see it too

Horrid start, but way to turn it around... just too big a margin to begin with.  That loss hurts, but we can still get to the garden.  3-3 is not out of the question, nor is 4-2.

All the games are going to be tough.

Mac is to praise.... 2nd half adjustments were great, however we lost. We needed this game. This loss is huge. Hopefully we can rebound saturday.

Sometimes it's not the coach, I have been on plenty of teams where no matter what the coach does, the team's head isn't on straight. Right now the ulitimate team I'm on, we can't win a single game if it's before 10am. It's not the coaches fault for that; he's tried everything he can. It has to come back to the players as well, taking responsibility and realizing what is at stake here. You don't need to be a coach to figure out what this game meant.

Here is the thing to keep in mind the Bulls have SIX games left. NONE are vs top teams (unlerss you count UL at 6-4)

THREE are at home

Syracuse 5-5

DePaul 4-6

Providence 5-4

ALL those THREE are winnable and are MUST wins if we play like we have done lately at home.

THREE are on the road

Louisville 6-4

Seton Hall 3-6

DePaul 4-6

ALL are possibilities BUT since we havent won on the road will be tough.

So if we hold court at home and win ONE on the road we end 7-9

Do we head for MSG?

If we're 7-9, then we'd be in. If the road win would be against Seton Hall, then you'd hold the head to head tiebreaker over them and Providence. Seton hall would have to win 5 games and Providence would have to win 3 to get ahead of us if we were at 7-9. Splitting with DePaul might get us ahead of them depending on what they do the rest of the way.

Long way to go though. 7-9 would be nice, but I don't see it.

I would think so, but this team going 4-2 over a big east stretch?  I dunno...we pretty much have some play-in games with Seton Hall and Depaul (2 with them), so we'll see.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
