Down to the competition?  Doesnt St johns have a better conference record than us?  Didnt they crush us last year?  They were favored in the game.  

But yes, opportunity missed.

Well we werent very good last year.  And with Our last two games beating and losing in the last second to two top 25 teams it seems we are improving so this game should have been won i think.

I think we are getting a little ahead of ourselves when we say we are playing down to anyone in conference.  But before the game started i thought we should win this one, i wouldnt bet it but, i could hope.

No doubt we should have won this game.  

Vegas lines would disagree. We're losing games we're supposed to and winning some games we're not supposed to. We need to start winning more of the former but all in all we're about where we should be ... but need to keep improving.

My rationale is not so abstract.  It basically says, we had the better talent overall and proved we could take over the game.  We had the capability to destroy SJU and did not.  This will be viewed as one that got away - perhaps along with a much stronger Marquette at home.

The Marquette game was a lot more disappointing than this one .... although a loss is a loss.
