Not saying it will happen, but I wouldn't be entirely shocked if Voss changes positions if more QB depth comes in.

Many schools recruited him as a athlete, one of USF's selling points was guarenteeing him a shot at QB, much like C4.

I'm just saying let's not write him off just yet.  He was in a run oriented offense (using QB runs alot) and still threw for 1300 yards.

FWIW

TALLAHASSEE ELITE 22 PLUS

1. Shawn Williamson, WR, New Port Richey Gulf - Turned out to be the real find of this combine. Ran an impressive sub 4.4 (40) and totally dominated some elite defensive backs in the drills. Was truly one of the most complete players we have watched this season.

2. Chris Rainey, RB, Lakeland - What more can be said about this tremendous running back who can fly, has great moves and has proven to get it done against top competition.

3. Lorenzo Edwards, S, Orlando Edgewater -A three-year starter who heads into his final season as one of the most impressive defensive players around. Has the body and athletic ability to play linebacker at the next level. Performed well in the drills. (RIGHT).

4.James Pouncey, OL, Lakeland - Burst onto the scene at the start of his junior season for the national champions. Very athletic, great feet and a tremendous combine tester.

5. Lashawn Pouncey, OL, Lakeland - Pretty much can read the information above and the same things apply to his brother.

6. Jeremy Brown, WR/CB, Orlando Boone - An MSLSports.net find last year, this Class of 2008 standout is truly a player who could emerge as one of the best at his position in the state. Tested very well and was tremendous in the drills. (PICTURED BELOW).

7. Victor Campbell, OL, Daytona Beach Mainland - Another combine “freak†who puts up tremendous numbers and is impressive in drills. Needs to work on the defensive side of the ball as a nose tackle.

8. Alton Voss, QB, New Port Richey Gulf - One of the top rated passers in the state who combines his arm with his foot speed and the ability to create positives. Needs to work on being more consistent

9. Robert Marve, QB, Tampa Plant - Another of the top passing prospects who has the size, arm strength and throwing mechanics to be very special at the next level. Like Voss, he needs to be more consistent on his throws. (PICTURED BELOW)..

10. Xavier Blocker, RB, Crawfordville Wakulla - When people ask about the future in the state, here is one of the top players of the Class of 2008. A tremendous runner with great instincts an the ability to use his speed and power. A gifted underclassman. Tested well and did a great job during the drills.

11. Jeremiah Schwartz, FB, Orlando Edgewater - Has the potential to become one of he best at his position. Tests very well. A very strong young man who thrives on competition. Could be a “sleeper†this coming season as a junior.

12. Melvin Payne DL, Mobile (Alabama) Leflore - 2008: Coming all the way from Alabama to compete against some of Florida’s best, here is another underclassman (2008) who showcased some skills in the testing as well as during the drills, where he made an impact on the coaches.

13. Rick Berryhill, OL, Chiefland - Another rising senior that we uncovered while watching him compete at the combine. A very athletic lineman who tested well, but actually was better in the drills.

14. Darian Wilson, LB, Crawfordville Wakulla - If the War Eagles are going to compete in the post season over the next few years, here is a Class of 2008 football player who has all the tools to give them an edge. Big, strong and very quick. He is the younger brother of former Wakulla star running back Briceton Wilson.

15. Willie Ferrell, S, Tallahassee FAMU - At 6-2, 210-pounds, this was not only one of the most imposing defensive players at the combine, but this Class of 2009 standout tested well and was quite impressive during the drills. By the time he’s a senior, every college in the nation will offer him.

16. Lovell Jackson, RB, Tampa Plant - Another athlete who used this combine to start the recruiting wheels in motion. Tested well and was impressive in drills. Coaches loved his work ethic.

17. Marquenten Webb, DB/RB, Cottondale - When this team is in the hunt for a state title next year, this is a football player will be one of the reasons why. Not only a physical football player who runs very well, but he also can play on the offensive side of the ball as a running back and defensively as a corner.

18. J.J. Laster, RB Graceville - In the 1B state title game last year, here is one of the players that most knew very little about. Ran for well over 1,000 yards during his sophomore season, he has speed and quickness and was impressive in the drills. He is also a Class of 2008 prospect.

19. David Noel, OL, Albany (Ga.) Monroe - Another quality lineman who turned some heads with his technique, foot speed and strength. This is someone that the football fans in Georgia need to keep an eye on.

20. Jonas Randolph, RB, Chiefland - If the state of Florida isn’t talented enough already in the offensive backfield for the future, here is yet another Class of 2008 player who did everything well. He is among the strongest players on his team and his quickness and ability to hit holes makes him a player to keep an eye on.

21. Emmanuel Ware, LB, Daytona Beach Mainland – Another promising athlete who tested well and really impressed the coaches during the drills. At a school known for producing top stars, here is another that could emerge this coming season.

22. Mike Quinn, QB/Athlete, Port St. Joe - One of the quality football players at the combine, he had tremendous times and numbers during the testing and was very impressive, throwing the ball in drills.

Look at who Voss is ranked ahead of in the list--and similar comments are made about Marve's accuracy.

How much have you seen him play?   Just like I thought not at all.   Maybe you should see him play before you spew your negative rhetoric
