In the article about Women hurt by lack of support (see this thread), there was an interesting sentence:

USF's athletic department has an annual marketing budget of $350,000 and it isn't itemized by sport.

It's not much at all. Remember you have to deduct salaries from that number. Then you have promotions and marketing materials. Its amazing they can accomplish anything.
