Mac Recruits and Potential Recruits

This is a HUGE year for recruiting. I believe it's like 5 seniors that need to be replaced. Mattis, Buckley, and all of the backup guards. Not to mention that Gransberry is a Junior with zero big men "in the system" behind him.

I believe the only guard we lose is Capko. Getting some big men will be key... unless we can add about 35 lbs to Aris and give him a knee to support it.

We need depth at C and at PF. We have enough guards coming back.

We are as deep as ever at guard.  

The HCC guy is 6'8 210  Erikje Hart.  His friend that died was 6'11 260 Kenie Freeman.

There is also a guy from up in tallahassee that has us on his list, Dustin Scott.  6'8 215.  I believe he was the juco preseason player of the year, if I am thinking of the right guy.  Hopefully we can get both of those guys to sign in april.  We are certainly in trouble if we can't find someone to play center/forward after Mattis/Richardson/Buckley graduate.

Yet we've been able to destroy two BE teams AND an ACC team this year .... ****, Mac must be a helluva coach to have pulled that off.

Of those 13... 9 are definite big east talents.  And Cann still could be... we'll see how his knee surgury goes.  9 out of 13 isn't half, or if you take signee jones - 8 out of 12 isn't half.  This is the most talent we have ever had on the roster at one time at USF... now we just need to take advantage of it.

Getting a couple big men to replace Richardson (Hart from HCC could do that.. i don't care if he isn't big east caliber... it is the late period and having someone 6'8 210 or bigger is a need, and the kid from Tallahasseee would be a very good late addition, if it has any chance of happening.  I don't think we'll find any 6'10-7 footers out there for next season, so Gransberry is going to be on his own at center)

Here is the thing about "Big East Talent", its kind of complicated. There is a difference between guys who can play in the big east and guys who can start and lead a team to win. We have too many of the lesser as starters on our team.
