Leavitt is a class act. I am glad he is here. I hope he is the Boby Bowden of USF.

hope we get who we want.

those two weeks lost may not hurt us badly

it seems it may help us in the long run

already have most of what we want, 1-2 fallouts but we were longshots already.

not good than

mid 50's for usf would be considered bad  by any objective standard

USF's class this year is just as good as the ones going to FSU, UM or UF.  The rankings are absolute ********, and they even admit to it!  Rivals has something like 25 employees (per previous posting on rankings scandal).  Just consider how many HS football games are played every friday night in just Florida or Texas!  Now how about the whole of the US?  The ONLY way they could accurately "rank" these kids is by employing a staff of thousands.  It just doesn't add up.  They base rankings soley on which schools are interested in what kids.

USF doesn't get the same level of respect, while recruiting the same quality players as the other Big 4 Florida schools.  That comes down to one thing, name recognition.  The Bulls need to keep winning, that will earn the respect we're starting to see.

you are wrong if you think bulls are getting same quality as big 3

rankings are based on more than interest of schools

how about talent????

yuor premise is wrong

rankings are based on interest of school, and the size of the subscription base that the player is interested in.

you cant honestly tell me that there is a way for someone to say a kid is 2 stars or 3 stars, or 4 even just by watching some film.

the 5 star guys are pretty clear cut that they are special.  but after that.... ;)

NFL teams spend millions of dollars evaluating talent and don't always do that well at it (Ryan Leaf, Heath Shuler, Rick Mirer, Andre Ware, David Klingler, Kerry Collins, etc).  The 5 stars are easy, as are the high 4 stars.  What are the odds that a college team can properly evaluate and select a full class from the rest? How can a recruiting service accurately rank them?

exactly, thats why its such a crap shoot and rankings really dont mean anything.

its the best system available thats why it gets so much attention.  and those services try their best, but at the end of the day, there is just so many student athletes and so little time.  so they just go with what will make them the most money, and that is keeping the high dollar/high membership team's recruiting information interesting and exciting.

you cant really blame them, after all, it is a BUSINESS>
