Any positives on todays game vs ND

Positive - Game wasn't on TV

Negative - There are home games this week.  

Is anyone else considering not renewing their season tickets next year?

positive:  

1) Gransberry played well.  The fans were yelling LSU at him.  Pretty much getting into his head saying he shouldnt even be on this team.  Pretty knowledgeabe fans, I wonder how many usf students would know he transfered from LSU?  The whole student section for notre dame did.

2) at least we played toe to toe with them in the first 10 or so minutes.  

negatives:  our bench scored 2 points......AGAIN!!!

According to board members we have 13 scholarships, 5 go to starters.  So 8 scholarships will get you 18 bench points in 6 big east games under the mac regime.  Im not a math major but that is an average of THREE bench points a game.  

How many years will it take for Mac to at least assemble a team that can just simply COMPETE?????  mind boggling.

Whatever will happen,will happen at the end of the season,so till then all these fire the coach posts mean nothing,just a repeat of same posts game after game.

this post was specifically asking for positives from the ND game.  it's not about firing a coach and it's not the same as other threads because it was specific to the ND game.  if you are so tired of basketball threads why do you continue to read and post to them?  just curious.

Actually, I think this thread was started very creatively ... and that's all we're asking for here.

I am always suprised when folks think this years team was gong to be better then last years.  We lost top scorers and rebounders and one of those was a second round NBA pick.  They were replaced by transfers and unproven players.  Takes time.  We lost alot of football coaches and part of it was from lack of pay.  I for one would say keep Mac another year, it can't get any worse and save the money for football.  Only so many dollars to go around.  Alot of schools have one program that excells and the other is almost always in the dumps - see Duke - even Miami or North Carolina.
