i dont know if its posted anywhere else on the board (looked but couldn't find it), but scout.com finally updated their ratings for carlton hill... they have him listed as a 4-star WR.

this should help our recruitment rankings.

hope he makes the best of his second chance too.

I think Carlton will do what he has to in order to play.  Many players have things to overcome, and he did.  

The fact that scout updated his star rating is inconsequential.

Hopefully he plays like a 4 star WR.  

As for the whole star thing ive always looked at it as a evaluation of the physical tools and career a player has when they leave high school.  You can use them to rate kids as they are coming out but to use them to evaluate a player's future career is just stupid as that part truly is a crap shoot.

yes they might be overrated when evaluating talent ... but as far as name recognition, the more we climb those rankings the better off we are so we shouldn't be complaining. I'll take a team full of 2 star selvie's and 3 star grothe's anyday!

Just like in the replacements, we need HEART and those kids have it!

yeah, scout has us above the big east champion UL Cardinals.  whoopie.  i'm not going to complain about positive rankings, such as mike ford being a 5-star on rivals, because ignorant people (such as smazza) look at them.  I just want to agree (again) that recruiting rankings don't matter  :)
