Very Excited about 2007!

I am very excited about our progress last year.  We had 15 interceptions this year (the same as in 2005).  This one stat that bothers me.  We have to lower this stat.  Combined with our penalties being reduced, I like us in both offense and defense.

2007 is a watershed year I bullieve.

55 more passing attempts for the same number of picks, but I understand your point.  hopefully grothe will improve in that area.  also, although UF and WVU i believe were highly penalized compared to other teams, our team being mostly the same might help the cohesion and prevent false-starts and holding.  we'll see.  it might not matter.

i hope you are right about this beign a watershed year.

I think the INTs were nothing more than "being a freshman". A lot of those were throws that he forced into a hole that he probably got away with in high school.

If I remember right, both of his interceptions against Rutgers came when he got hit as he was throwing. And I'm pretty sure (don't quite remember) that a few others were also a result of this.

No matter, Grothe will be a year older and more experienced with his ball handling.  We have some good RB's to take some of the heat off him and a great defense.
