Stewart Mandel's mailbag:

Will Michael Bush and possibly Brian Brohm leaving Louisville to go pro just give more ammunition to the West Virginia strength-of-schedule critics next season?

It certainly won't help, but I would hope at this point we're all sufficiently past the "Big East is a joke" era, particularly after the league went 5-0 in its bowl games. As of now, it's looking like Louisville won't necessarily be as daunting next season, but it's not like Rutgers or USF will be walkovers.That said, if I'm a West Virginia fan, I'd be a whole lot more concerned with my defense going into next season than I would any national-title posturing.

I do not think we will be ranked in the preseason.  However, we will have our shot to move up in the first 3 weeks.
