I see USF as ending the season either 32nd or 33rd.   :-/

29th is a good finish.  not sure what is going on with the coaches, but whatever.  if only maryland, hawaii, georgia, and penn state would have lost.  or replace 2 of those with nebraska and tennesee losing by more, then we would have had a shot at #25.

we'll see how smart the voters are for the pre-season polls.  that should be interesting.  I don't expect USF to be ranked but I think it may be deserved.

Houston got votes in the Coaches Poll? Really? That's crazy stupid.

17 votes is the third most votes USF has received from the AP. The #29 AP ranking is tied for the highest USF has ever received from the AP. USF was #29 at the end of 2002 and at the end of the regular season in 2006.

Louisville is #6/7*, WVU is #10 and Rutgers is #12.

I think we'll move up in the preseason polls, especially if Ford gets in and looks good.  Even if we don't move up, if we stay at 29 it would be impressive

Great to get the ranking from the writers.  The coaches poll is very disappointing, how Houston gets votes and we get stiffed shows that poll is just coaches or SID's ranking people on wins.

Problem for next year is the usual suspects (Miami, FSU, A & M, Nebraska) that people know will always get ranked in the early season,  The writers and coaches see them as good based on history.  We're going to fight the same battle as Rutgers, and to some extent Louisville, have fought this year.  You are not yet recognized as a football "power" so you get lowballed.

Cure for that is a couple of 10-12 win seansons, starting in 2007.  GO BULLS!!!!

How did 1 coach not vote for us? Of the schools we played how many of those coaches vote?, you would think we would get more respect from our peers.  I was not expecting top 25 and the AP Poll is probably fair, but no votes from coaches?

DROPPED FROM RANKINGS

Texas A&M 21, Nebraska 22, Georgia Tech 25.

Interesting that Houston somehow managed 8 votes...you can probably thank CUSA coaches for that.  Also interesting that 9-4 Penn State is ranked behind 9-4 Tennessee, even though Penn State BEAT Tennessee soundly in their bowl game.  Man the coaches poll sucks.
