Auburn won't be great next year, but they will be good. They will be an 8-4 type team.

They lose Kenny Irons, 4 Starting Offensive Linemen, and a few key guys on defense (Herring and Irons).

If we picked any year to play Auburn, next season would probably be it.

I hope Auburn takes USF lightly. If they do that then I can see USF winning that game next season. We just need to play loose though. If we go up there playing tight like we do at times then it will be a long game.

They also lose 2 other starting wide receivers... only 4 returning starters on offense... TE, LT, QB, and FB... only 7 returning starters on defense as well.

Let's look at reality... Auburn means diddley squat to winning the BE

We can lose to Elon, UCF, Auburn, and NC  and then

beat  UConn, Cuse, Pitt  Rutgers WV, UL and UC and we  will win  the Big East.

I believe that would mean the bulls go to a BCS Bowl.

If we can beat Auburn, then we will win the BE.

Dream on.  Beating any OOC team doesn't guarantee we will win the BE.

We beat U of L in 2005 and wound up tied for 4th place in the BE.  We beat WV in 2006 and wound up tied for 4th again.

Dude, nothing GUARANTEES that anyone will win anything.  However, if we can beat Auburn on their homke turf, then we should be able to take the BE title, especially since we've got UL and WVU at home.

Technically you are right... however Auburn is a measuring stick comparable to the Big East's better teams...

So if USF can manage to win on the road at Auburn, then chances are better than average that USF could win the rest of their games.

You COMPLETELY missed what I was getting at.  The Auburn game could be a measuring stick for how our season will play out.

Shoot, this is getting eerie.  People are going to think we're the same person with different logins, Jim. ;)
