...you use their rank when you played them? Using that theory you'd have a lot more discussion about the Michigan/Florida debate.

Something else to consider: Boise State has had about 2-3 years of media buzz and they were getting a fair amount of votes to start the season. If they had to start off at a point where they weren't even getting votes, it would have been very hard for them to get into the top 10 with their weak schedule.

The computers have them well int0 to the top 10, so as long as the voters had them in the top 15 or so Boise would have been well above the #12 ranking they would need for an at large. Further with Wake at 14, they would have only needed to be in the top 17. They started with some votes in both polls, but well out of the top 25.

Another thing to note, Boise State has had some really big time recruits spend one of their 5 visits to Boise this year. They could have a really good class, they've done a good job capitalizing on the talent that Colorado, Nebraska, Washington, and Wazzou used to get around their area. Thus the reason for the success the last 7 or 8 years.

Add the greatest idea in college football, the Smurf Turf, you have created a very good program in Boise. If they knock off Oklahoma it will only further it.
