From Rivals:

Tyson Butler (5' 11" 170) from Cypress Lake High School in Fort Meyers, Florida had a big year on the football field and is now ready to turn his attention to the recruiting process.

In addition to Pitt, Butler has received offers from South Florida, West Virginia, UCF, Tennessee, Indiana, Iowa State and Tennessee.

Tyson Butler set the single game record for rushing yards here in Lee County with over 400 yards.  Seems to be quite an athlete.

I understood he was being recruited as a CB ... but sure he would be RS'd and evauated anyways.

But we want athletes.

Sinclair is no longer considering WVU, he's now set up a visit for Illinois this weekend.

USF is going hard after Butler.

If coaches are thinking Butler can play DB, then maybe that would account for the high number of RB recruits.

In other DB related news....Did I hear that USF commit quenton washington had 11 ints this year?  That's impressive.  Who keeps throwing in this kids direction after he's already had 10  picks???

That's what I read.  Washington had a huge year.  Was in the paper down here most saturdays.  Of course he plays on Noel Devine's team so there is always publicity with that.

I believe in the last playoff game in which they lost Washington had two INT's, and something like 6 catches for 100+ yards, and a TD.

He is an exceptional athlete.
